All Trains Depart and Return to Steller, Alberta. Special event excursions include steam or diesel-powered rail excursion lasting between six, and six and one-half hours, upscale buffet meal, on board and special entertainment. The destination for Alberta Prairie excursions is Big Valley. This community was the divisional point for the Canadian Northern Railway in the early 1900s. Featured attractions include the restored railway station, the roundhouse interpretive centre, St. Edmund’s Church, McAlister Motors Museum, a Tool Museum and the Jimmy Jock Boardwalk market.
The last chance of each season to ride the train on a regular Alberta Prairie Railway excursion. Come and join us for buffet-style Alberta roast beef meal, on board entertainment and a fireworks display on both sides of the train during the return journey.
